We are back! Today marks the second day of 24 days of tea for 2013! We start with one of DAVIDsTEA’s herbal tisane Alpine Punch. I’m glad you have tuned into episode 70 of Erin’s tea, please tell your friends about Erin’s Tea so I can work hard to bring you many more episodes!

ERIN’S TEA SHOW NOTES

  • It’s a herbal tea that uses rooibos as a base.
  • It also includes coconut chips and rasps, apple pieces, cinnamon pieces, ginger bits, cardamom, black pepper, rose blossoms, almond flakes, artificial flavouring (which is likely where I smell the vanilla from.)
  • Product of Germany.
  • It’s part of the Winter Collection: only available for a limited time in stores, but was available online last year so I’m hoping they keep it online this year.
  • Steeping time is 4-7 minutes (boiling water).
  • It smells like sugar cookies! I smell a bit of the cinnamon but it’s not very spicy, and i can barely taste the cardamom.
  • It tastes like almonds and vanilla, and because it has ginger it’s really good for your stomach if you’re not feeling so hot after a night of indulging in beverages.
  • It’s a wonderful winter tea, and one of my favourites.  I usually add a bit more of the tea than they recommend because I like the flavour to be stronger.
  • If you are considering sweetening your tea, consider Steevia instead of Agave. Read why here.

The bottom line?

One of my favourite teas for sure. I need to stock up on some!

So until next time,  That’s Tea To Me.
